Addi got her ears pierced!!

Ok so Addi loves earings... but the stick on ones wont stay on her ears.. and she hates it.. so I ask her every once in a while if she'd like to go get them pierced.. she always says "um....... not yet" So this morning she had the sticky ones out again and was having a hard time keeping the on, so I asked her if she wanted to and she said "Yeah!" and was super excited. So we went to Parriotts Salon and got them done.

Sitting in the chair waiting for Jason to go get his piercing kit....

He cleaned off her lobes.

Then put a little dot where he wanted to put them, and made sure they were straight.. She was such a big girl..

Then put the gun up to her ear..... and "CLICK!!!"....

Not happy about the feeling the "CLICK" brought.. She let him do the other one and then

JUST WANTED HER MOM..

But she was over it by the time we got out to the car and loved her new "wedding earings"

We crashed the Torres picnic on Friday.. the girls had a blast finding Eggs with their cousins at the Old City Park.

Nick's Gone!!!

Here he is. My Sweetheart! He's in Tucson Arizona until April. Then his season begins in Vasalia California!! I tried to get him to smile normal, but this is what I got. He's cute anyway

Mandii came down last weekend and played in a volley ball tournament with me!! I miss her too!

But I always got my little buddy Addi with me. She's a keeper!

Hiking

Nick and I went up to Cable Arch on Thursday. Nick hadn't ever been there, it was alot of fun! I took a picture of Nick on a huge mountain behind the arch, that's the one you have to crawl up using the cable.

Grandma Nornie kept Addi, so it was just us. Addi just loves her Grandma Nornie.

We also took Addi up to Dead Horse Point. It's Amazingly Beautifull up there. But still a little Chilly.
But Addi didn't care. She was just having a good time.

We made Valentine's Day Cookies. Addi actually put her face over the flour and dumped in onto her face it was halarious, but even more so because we were at Grandma Ann's house and she started the flour on the face stuff. Don't worry everyone who ate one, this was post cookie making.

Christmas at the Oldroyds

We had Christmas at the Oldroyds this year. It was a really good Christmas. We all got everything we wanted. Addi got everything we told her she wanted, Ha ha, it's nice because she is still at the age that we decide what she gets and she still loves it.

I used Nick's brother Derek's (aka Bo) Stocking this year because we keep forgetting to bring me one!! Ha ha (Thanks Bo!! Your loss was my gain this year)

Addi on her Dora couch. She loves Dora and Boots and Swiper. She is constantly saying "Oh Man..." That's what Swiper says when Dora and Boots tell him "Swiper no swiping" before he swipes whatever it is they have.

It snowed while we were there. This night it actually snowed like 13 inches after we had gone back in, it was pretty cool.

Addi loves playing in the snow. She tried to catch a flake or two in her mouth.

Winter Sun 10K Dec 2008

Nick ran a 10k in Moab, this December. It was really good for him. He is a self proclaimed "Running hater" that wants to run 10k's and half marathons. He did great!!

He finished the race in an hour and some odd seconds, He met his goal and even beat it by a few minutes, The week before his race he got way sick and couldn't go run, or he probably would have done even better!!

Addisens Bday and Thanksgiving

Addisen is 2 Yay!!!! Happy Birthday!! She loves birthdays. They are really exciting to her. She will do anything to get the chance to go to someones Birthday!!!

Cruise

Nick and I went on a Cruise in November. It was so awesome. My wonderful and Brave Bro and Sis in law (Trevor and Nichole) kept Addi, So we were able to not even worry about her because they are great to her. It was beautiful. It was a 7 day cruise. It went to Puerta Vallarta, Mazitlan, and Cabo San Lucas.

The Boat was the "Carnival Pride" It was huge. And Carnival has something going on...ALL THE TIME. So we were never bored. There were comedians, hypnotists, amazing dancing and singing shows, silly/funny competitions. It was fun.

After the days at the Stops we would set sail at Dusk, It was a beautiful time of day.

The towel animals were great. This is just one. We also had a dog, a sea ray, a frog, an ant eater. It was kinda fun coming back and seeing what animal they'd made.

And may I say the food was also wonderful, and delicious and there was LOTS of it... We came back 10 pounds heavier!! They carved this Indian Chief head out of a watermelon, and added a little vacation flare by making it look like he had sunscreen on his nose. Fun

This picture was taken when we were passing Lover's Cove. As we were leaving Cabo San Lucas.

I parasailed in Cabo with a friend we had made on the cruise. We sat by her and her husband at Dinner. All the pics of us parasailing her eyes are at one of those bars levels. Good Job Nick Ha ha. We went so so so high. It was crazy scarey, but kind of a rush.

Our boat was Michael Angelo themed, so this was a replica of his famous statue "David". Very detailed, believe me that this boat had Naked people all over it. Especially naked women all over the hall way, and room walls, a adolecent boys dream.

So alot of you have been wondering why I haven't updated the blog. Well, our internet has been acting screwy since November. And I just tried to upload some pictures onto Blogger and it took a half hour, and then the internet disconected so I lost it. Ahhhhh! Oh well, I am going to take Addi over to my parents house for a nap and do some updating over there soon. K We love you all!!!

This is Buster's favorite perch, the other day he was sitting there and he fell asleep sitting up, and almost fell off the couch. It was pretty funny!

We carved Pumkins tonight, or as Addi calls them "Punks"

That was as close as she got to the Pumkin guts, too messy for her. She was a big helper, but she said they were "Gross" and "Sick"

These are the finished products. Addi and Mine is "Jack" and Nick's is the "RIP" Cute little "Punks!"

Good Times!

We definitely have some good times at our house! Who knew that mixing bowls on the head could really be this funny!!! She is hilarious sometimes.

She loves our yard, She's definitely posing in this one. She kinda looks like Popeye!

Right now it"s the perfect temperature in Moab. Just nice and warm in the day, then a bit chillier at night. I'm dreading the cold coming back.

So Addi has picked up a few Phrases from her cousins, she puts her hand up and says "Back off Barbie" She tells you "Hasta Manana", and she is starting to put so many words together, The other day she told me "I can't shut the door Mom" It's nuts she's getting so big!

She picks a tomato every day and eats it, Buster follows her every foot step in case she thinks about lowering it his mouth's level. She tries to pick one for him, and I'll ask her "Do you want to get in trouble?" She just says "Trubo?"

Deep Depresion

So today is the final day of Nick being home before Intructs. I am trying not to sink into deep depression. We are taking him to the Moab Airport(yes Moab has an airport) At 4 he flies into Denver, then from Denver to Tucson. Where he'll be for 3 weeks for "Instructional League" Good Luck Nick! Hurry Home

Addi LOVES Buster! or as she says it "Buttah" Loves him loves him loves him, They play for hours together. He's really good to her. He has never once snipped at her. If she's bugging him, he'll just get up and walk away. She might love him even more then Nick! And that's hard to do!

Three+ years in a nutshell

Since we've been married (May "05) We've been on the move, We moved from Cedar City where I had just Graduated and Nick had one more year, to San Diego where our job fell
through, so we went to Moab for the summer, Then back to Cedar for school, when we found out we were pregnant. Cedar to Ohio for the summer to sell "Dish Network" door to door (Not Nick favorite job I'll tell you that much, and I got so bored being pregnant and alone I went out and got our dog Buster. So, from Ohio we moved to Logan where Nick attended Graduate School for two years, and I worked at a Physical Therapy office. Also where we had our darling little Addisen Ann Oldroyd. After graduation, Nick got a job with the Arizona Diamond Backs as an Athletic Trainer. He works in the Minor Leagues. He is currently the ATC for the Yakima Bears. Addi, Buster and I came to Moab to wait it out this year. Which we will never do again! Way too hard to be apart!!!
